Entomopathogenic nematode for sod webworms

Steinernema carpocapsae · nematode
Against sod webworms

Sod webworms live in silk-lined tunnels in the thatch and feed on the surface at night, the habit this nematode is suited to. UC IPM calls Steinernema carpocapsae a valuable control for sod webworms. UMass warns it is very vulnerable to drying out, so water it in straight away and keep the thatch moist afterwards.
