Potato aphid is the first species Koppert lists for this wasp, and the reason to buy it rather than the cheaper Aphidius colemani, which stings potato aphid but cannot develop in it. Release weekly through the period an infestation is expected, keep the carrier dry and undisturbed, and look for leathery golden-brown mummies 10–14 days after the first release. Arbico advises at least three weekly releases. Where colonies are already established, Buglogical suggests adding a predator, and Biobest recommends combining it with the gall midge.
