Against root mealybugs
Nematode drenches are sometimes suggested for root mealybugs because the pest lives in the compost, but no trial against the root mealybugs of potted plants (Rhizoecus and relatives) was found; published nematode trials on mealybugs use other species, such as citrus mealybug. UMass and UC IPM advise discarding infested plants; a timed hot-water root dip has published kill figures (EFSA).
